The classic smokey eye never goes out of style and suits everyone. Start by applying a nude shade of eyeshadow over your eyelid. Detect flecks of color in your eyes that seem lighter and match them to your base color. For romantic, flirty eyelashes, apply The Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara from root to tip in a sweeping motion. Sweep the highlighter underneath your eyes a bit on the inside corner. In this tutorial, I show you how easy it is to achieve a classic, brown smokey eye.

Line your upper lashline with a liquid eyeliner. Apply a single coat to your bottom lashes to define them without giving yourself raccoon-eyes. Using a flat brush, apply the peach eyeshadow around the crease of your eyelid, as seen in the image. Next, apply a light brown shade of eyeshadow to just the outer corner of the eyes.

Natural colors look amazing with every eye color. Apply primer or concealer on your eyelids to prevent fall out and increase the staying power of the shadow. Instead of starting with your medium shade, take your darkest eyeshadow and use your brush to sweep it along the entirety of your upper lash line.

Finally, apply black mascara and false eyelashes (Red Cherry #43) if you want to take this look from day to night. Take your medium shade of eyeshadow and start from halfway up your eyelid, sweeping towards your crease. With the blending brush, blend out the colors for a seamless effect.

Keep the rest of your makeup to the very minimum as this is a pretty heavy smokey eye. Next, follow the line back over the crease of the eye towards the inner corner. The intensity of natural brown eyes varies from person to person, so it's important to tell which colors look outstanding on you and which ones make your eyes look dull.

When done properly the smokey eye is sexy and sophisticated, and with the option to create the look with different shades ranging from browns and golds to greys and blacks, you can wear the look for numerous occasions. Only use your darkest shadow till halfway up your eyelid.

Using a flat brush, apply nude shimmer eyeshadow. Gently apply a hint of brown eyeshadow in the crease and towards the outer corner of your eyes. You can blend this color upwards beyond your crease and into your highlighter if you want. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of mascara to finish.

Also, use this to define the outer corners of your lower lashline. Again, blend the dark color into the light gold and pink.
